The Real Estate Experience Sterling White

Mar 2, 2020

The dumbest mistake we can make is to believe that we don't make a mistake. Self-awareness and taking action are huge in terms of taking you to where you want to go. Let me pull back the curtain and share with you dumbest investor mistakes make (no shame, myself included).

  • Trying to know it all (the analysis paralysis)
  • Not buying on cashflow (proforma vs actual)
  • Over-appreciating a property (staying in negative for too long)
  • Not asking for help (afraid to reach up)

Never afraid to commit mistakes, I treat them as a great opportunity to learn lessons. There are two ways to learn: (1) learn the hard way (from own mistakes) or (2) learn the easy way (from other people's mistakes). Sharing these experiences with hopes that you don't hit the same potholes I did.
